Spinning the Gerbil

After dinner last night:

Sydney:  Wanna hear the Hanukkah song I learned in school today?

Me:  OK.

Sydney:  It has a dance that goes with it.  (starts humming and dancing)

Me:  Go for it.

Sydney:  It's called "The Gerbil Song."
               (singing)
               Gerbil, gerbil, gerbil
               I made you out of clay.
               Gerbil, gerbil, gerbil
               With gerbil I will play.

Me:  Umm, do you mean dreidel?

Sydney:  Yeah!  That's it!


And then she spent the next ten minutes singing the song and doing the little dance that goes with it.

Love that kid.
