Here's what we've got going on this week:
Thursday: Chicken Enchiladas
- I used a package of frozen chicken left over from the famous roasted chicken recipe
Friday: Mini-Meatloaves, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans
Saturday: Out
Monday: Slow Cooker Roast with Potatoes and Carrots
Tuesday: Lentil Burgers and Fruit Salad
Wednesday: Fish Tacos with Cranberry Tex-Mex Salsa
Thanksgiving Thursday: My contributions will be Sweet Potato Casserole, Tasty Green Beans, Roquefort Pear Salad
- I can't find the link for the sweet potato casserole, but I can tell you it does not have marshmallows on top. I'm not a big fan of that particular traditional Thanksgiving dish.
P.S. Fran, you were right. It's an Amish cherry pitter!

Yum! Your Roquefort Pear Salad looks delish (as well as your other menu items!)! I might need to add that recipe to my collection. I forget that there are other salad options, rather than lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and bottled dressing.
ReplyDeleteYay!! It looked very similar to some things I have seen in the Lehman's catalog. Your menu this week looks great! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
ReplyDeleteHi, Jana.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog for a few years... ummm I think that Liam was a baby when I found you. I'm a SAHM of three boys in NJ. I'm still getting used to having three since my babe is only 3 months old. My middle one is over 3 and I've had major potty battles with him, so I always loved your potty vent posts and the posts about your book club (I'm in one also... I read the Thirteenth Tale because of your recommendation). My oldest is 5 but missed the cut off for Kindergarten this year, so he's in Pre-K.
Anyways, that was all my introduction. LOL Thank you for the menu posts. These recipes look so good and I can't wait for my baby to be on a nap schedule during the day so that I can start cooking again. Have a great Thanksgiving!!

Hi Marne!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to "meet" you! You sound like you've definitely got your hands full with three little ones, too. I'm so happy to know there are other moms out there like me, going through the same things.
I'm so glad you like the menu posts - I was kinda wondering if anyone found them interesting! And thanks for reading my blog for so long. Do you have a blog that I can read?
Anyway, I hope you have a great Thanksgiving, too. Can't wait to hear from you again!
Jana
Ohhh, yes... I feel like even though we all feel like we're in it alone, our experiences are so similar. I also LOVED your post about being bored out of your mind. I feel that way also and the long, long winter stretching in front of me during which we can't get outside to play (without a huge pile of snow clothes) is depressing.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a blog even though I've always wanted to start one. Maybe someday when I'm getting more than a few hours of sleep. Here is my latest photobucket so that you can "meet" my family. :o) http://s202.photobucket.com/albums/aa62/marnelmorgan/091113%20Lotsa%20Archie/
I'll be sure to comment when I enjoy your posts or when what you're saying is also happening with me. I'll talk to you again soon.

Marnie - So, so cute!!! All three of them are adorable. Funny how your middle child is also your daredevil - sounds familiar!
